SIDD-TRANS is a Ukrainian company that has been operating in the agricultural market for over 15 years (since 2009) and specialises in the procurement, transport and export of cereals, oilseeds and pulses.

Activities: purchasing produce from farms and exporting to 11 countries worldwide (Europe, Asia, Africa).
Scale: works with over 5,900 agricultural companies and has 58 regional representatives.
Focus: it is critical for the company to track the financial results (P&L) for each machine/transaction and monitor the performance of managers.
Business characteristics
Complex logistics: the business process involves not just sales, but the entire cycle: procurement ‘in the field’, counterparty verification, complex logistics (road/rail/port), quality control and export.
High responsiveness: the grain market is highly dynamic, with prices changing daily. This requires an immediate response to changes and rapid data exchange between the procurement, logistics and finance departments.
Challenges
Data chaos: information was stored across various systems, making it difficult to compile reports. Preparing financial reports took several days.
Resistance to change: the team was used to working in a different system, so the switch to a packaged solution met with resistance from staff (‘it was simpler before’).
Need for extensive customisation: off-the-shelf solutions did not meet the specific needs of agri-logistics. Complex algorithms were required to calculate the profit for each lorry.
Solution
The CRM Genesis team implemented a comprehensive automation project based on the Creatio platform:
- Data migration: a seamless transition from another software solution to a low-code platform.
- Departmental automation: the procurement, logistics, freight forwarding and finance departments have been integrated into a single system.
- Management accounting: automatic financial data consolidation has been set up, enabling real-time visibility of actual transaction margins.
- Process adaptation: best practices from the logistics market, proposed by the integrator, have been utilised to optimise the client’s processes.
Results
- Faster reporting: the time taken to compile financial data has been reduced from several days to 40–60 minutes.
- Staff efficiency: managers’ productivity has increased by 15–20% thanks to systematic work with the database.
- Response speed: the speed of response to market changes and customer enquiries has increased by at least 50%.
- Transparency: management has gained full control over the company’s resources, cash flows and each employee’s workload.
